A scrappy thing!!!

Today, while it snowed I got out my rag bag and made this.

I still need to add buttons to the centers of the yo-yos but I think you can get an idea of what it looks like. I had this material left over from last year when I made a bunch of Valentine's baby bonnets!!

As you can see Mr.Dingle is a camera freak!!He loves having his picture taken. I know, I know, I have some pretty weird animals...

Oh yeah, they both like to sew too!!! Mr.D sits on the table by the sewing machine and Bubba lays on my feet by the foot pedal. I don't know why they do this but it is really funny when I get out the machine they both congregate !

Have a blessed day!!!Pam

Snowy Day!!!

It has snowed!!Finally, an amount that is measurable. As for my birdies it started early this morning...first one ....
and then three...
and then five or six or seven and then there was.....

none!!!Bubba chased them all away and went over to see if he would like the goodies that they were eating. Guess what?

He did!!!

Sharing!!!

First thing I wanted to Share was my picture of Sweet Sally. Yes, she is fine and dandy!

Next I am going to share with you a couple of pictures of lace-n-things that Kelley from MJF sent me! Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it glorius? Well, I certainly think it is! Thanks again Kelly . We did an old fashioned barter . What I hadn't bartered for was a new and special friend!!
See the squirrel embroidery? That was a little bonus that she sent me!! I already told her, that I wondered how she knew I had Squirrel and Bunny things throughout my home...she simply marked it up to Farmgirl karma! You know, I think there is something to be said for that!!!
Blessings, Pam

Girlfriends

This is my daughters cat PeeWee-she is such a brave girl...tiny but mighty!!!!

A poem about our Girlfriends. Someone will always be prettier.Someone will always be smarter. Some of their houses will be bigger. Some will drive a better car.Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house. So let it go, and love you and your circumstances.THINK ABOUT IT!The prettiest woman in the world can have Hell in her heart. The most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes--might be lonely. And the Word says "If I have not Love, I am nothing."So, again, LOVE YOU.LOVE who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,"I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!""Winners make things happen----Losers let things happen."Be "BLESSED" Ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman."To the world you might be one person and you are special.

This poem was posted on Mary JaneFarms/Farmgirl Connection and I thought I would share it with you. It really touched my heart-strings. Thanks for sharing this with us farmgirl!!

Today it is raining ice and later changing to more snow. I hoepe old man winter is making his final visit to our neck of the woods. I am trying a new bread recipe today-just regular white bread but this has butter added to it! I have a roast cooking in the crockpot and the house smells heavenly!!!

I have started a new sewing project and this one is for me! I am going to make a new table runner out of osnaburg(sp.?)and various calicos. I will try and post a picture later. I haven't decided if it will be for Valentine's Day or just everyday.

Have a blessed day, Pam

Momma Day 3

Well, here she is all nice and bubbly and fed. She certainly looks like she is taking well.
My husband peeks in every morning and asks if she is ready to be bread . "No, not yet !" is always my reply.

Why are men so impatient? Can't he see she is working really hard to be the best she can be?

He will thank me come baking day. I'm thinking I will probably make one a cinnamon bread and the other just plain. I am going to wait for a few weeks to get the mother established before I try rye or my cheddar bread, I will share results as I make them.

Have a great day! Blessings to all, Pam

Party Pooper

Just as I am finally able to enjoy a sunny day with my birds who should appear but Bubba! These pictures aren't telling the funniest part of the story. He is actually standing on top of my goldfish pond!He goes out there to get a drink and hassle the fish when it isn't frozen. Well today the fish were froze in so he started chasing the birds away.
What a big baby!
I think he saw me taking pictures so he stopped to pose for me.What a cracker jack!!!

Yeah!!!

Feed them and they will come. And come they did !!! Big ones and little ones some came in pairs others waited their turn. It was a busy day at the ol' feeder. The snow is melting and all the birdies are hungry...I wonder if they have been waiting for this day . Birds just amaze me.

When my son and husband go hunting I always make sure they take their binoculars that have a camera built in. Take lots of pictures I tell them.I think they have other things planned for their hunts.

I really love the colors and the patttern was super simple!(Butterick#6838) I may have to make me a new gown as well.

Bird Watching Day Two!!!!

As you can see I am not the only one in this family that likes to bird watch! Meet Mr.Dingle our bird watching official.I really thought I was going to get some bird pictures today but they were over at the neighbors.

This reminds me of Barney Fife (sp?) when he told Opie that he could understand what the birds were saying. He would whistle and tell Opie what it meant....very funny stuff. One of my favorite episodes.

I imagine that the birds are telling each other to stay away...the cat is watching them!

It is probably too cold today for anything to be moving around. It's suppose to be around zero later today.

Buuurrrrrrr baby....it's cold outside.

Blessings, Pam

Nothin'!!!

Well, here it is several hours later and still no birdies. Well, I have to admit I haven't been watching all along. I have a very good reason...really I do!!!! I have been making an apron for a gal on MJF.

I hope you can tell from the pictures kind of what it looks like. This is for Kelley in Texas- she is sending me some trim for it. I sure hope she likes it. I added the frills at the bottom because I know she likes a purse design with those on it.I also embroidered a cardinal on one of the pockets, which is the state bird of WV. My husband wants me to add the state motto. Do you know what it is?

"Mountaineers are always free"!!! yup, that's it.I don't know if I will- but that would be kinda cool especially if I date it.

Well it's really snowing out and I have a chicken dinner to get ready for dinner. I love to bake when it's snowing out. There's something so comforting about the warmth and the good smells, too!

Take care.I'll keep up the bird watching...I know they are out there....somewhere.

Blessings.
Pam
